Bio
Erin Menefee graduated from the SDSU Doctor of Physical Therapy Program in May 2017, where she was presented with the Research Excellence Award. Prior to receiving her Doctorate of Physical Therapy, Erin earned her B.S. in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Arizona where she was also a member of the D1 Cross Country and Track team. During her Doctorate program, Erin worked her way with a congenital heart defect. It also affected her love of running and competing in marathons. After the program, she had successful open heart surgery and just 45 days later, she ran one mile. Erin became a true inspiration to others. Since graduating from SDSU, she completed a postgraduate Orthopedic Residency program through Kaiser Permanente. In addition to working as an outpatient orthopedic physical therapist at Kaiser Permanente, Erin is a competitive runner aspiring to qualify for the Olympic Marathon Trials.
