Dr. Amanda McClain Awarded the Mentored Research Scientist Development Award from NIH-NHLBI

Congratulations to Dr. Amanda McClain for being awarded the Mentored Research Scientist Development Award from National Institutes of Health (NIH)- National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). She was awarded a grant of $947,318 to use over a 5-year period. The goal for a NHLBI-K01 Mentored Research Scientist Development Award is to provide a training and research program that will help Dr. Amanda C. McClain, to develop into an independent researcher using cohorts and clinical trials to promote nutrition and cardiovascular health equity among U.S. Hispanics/Latinos using capital-oriented approaches.
