Former faculty member Wilma Boggs turned 100! Wilma celebrated with her friends and family over the weekend as she reached this incredible milestone. Wilma began her teaching career at San Diego State University in 1965 where she was a lecturer in the Home Economics Department. In 1971, she was appointed as Assistant Professor. The following year, the Home Economics Depart changed to Family Studies and Consumer Sciences where Wilma taught introductory courses in food and nutritional sciences as well as food prep laboratory classes. In 1994, the Foods & Nutritional Sciences program merged with Physical Education and became what is now known today as Exercise & Nutritional Sciences (ENS).
Wilma retired in 1977 where she was given the title of Assistant Professor Emeritus. She currently resides in La Costa Glen and is still actively participating in several groups.
Join us as we wish Wilma a very Happy 100th Birthday!
