Dr. Gombatto with Karlie Gross and Alejandra Hernandez

Alejandra Hernandez (SDSU DPT Class of 2019) and Karlie Gross (SDSU ENS graduate) presented their undergraduate research at the American Society of Biomechanics Annual Conference in Raleigh, NC in August. Hernandez and Gross conducted their research project entitled “Differences in lumbar spine and lower extremity kinematics during a functional step down task in people with and without low back pain” with Dr. Sara Gombatto in the Rehabilitation Biomechanics Laboratory. Hernandez was awarded an ASB Diversity Travel Award, which provided her with funding to attend the conference.
