One of our graduates, Erin Menefee, PT (Class of 2017) was recently featured in an article in Runner’s World Magazine. It chronicles her incredible journey as a runner before and after open heart surgery, striving towards the Olympic trials.
DPT students travel to Thailand for medical mission trip
During Winter break, SDSU Doctor of Physical Therapy students and our Director of Clinical Education, Kelly Prescher, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS traveled to Thailand to take part in an interdisciplinary medical mission trip, organized by the Health & Education Abroad through Leadership Brigade. They worked side by side with physicians and SDSU nursing students and faculty to provide care to 300 patients over the course of a week in the rural western district of Sangkhla Buri.

1st year DPT Student Earns Top Honors at Student Research Symposium
Mason Hearn (DPT, Class of 2020; SDSU MS Applied Movement Science, Class of 2017) earned a President’s Award at the 2018 SDSU Student Research Symposium for his study entitled, “Acrophobic? Let’s walk the plank.” His mentor on the project was DPT faculty member, Dr. Harsimran Baweja.
