November 15, 2013

Dann Goble accepts award at the Zahn Challenge.
Dann Goble (2nd from left) accepts award at the Zahn Challenge.

Last week, Dann Goble’s project, Balance Track Systems, was one of five groups that received first place along with $7000 at the 2nd Annual Zahn Challenge.  The Zahn Center is the University’s incubator for faculty, students, and staff.  Dann’s project is a balance board that quantifies the amount of sway by an individual that can be used to assess brain damage from concussions.

The money will be used to bring the balance board to market.  Much of his current research is focused on developing a database of balance in healthy and concussed individuals.
